El texto que nadie nunca va a leer:
(en serio, ni lo leas, no sólo no es gracioso,
sino que también está mal escrito, andá directo a los comics) Te desafío a que trates de leer esto: Mantrul empezó hace unos años, ya no recuerdo bien qué año específico, creo que el 2008. Internet era una cosa barrosa, llena de bichos. Me gustaban los comics, de pequeño había coleccionado algunos números de los x-men hasta que descubrí a Garth Ennis y a Alan Moore y a Neil Gaiman y entendí que los dibujos y las letras se podían combinar de formas mejores. Es todo combinatoria. Epa, dije, podría hacer esto. Pero mis habilidades artísticas no estaban a la altura. (?) Simultáneamente, estaba EL SANTO. El Santo era un fanzine que hacía (hago) con unos amigos. Era más bien sobre lo que decía, no sobre los dibujos. Pero todo era bueno y los niños reían en la noche. El Santo no sólo amplió los límites de aceptabilidad de lo que consideraba humor sino que transformó la realidad que en sí describía al llevar nuestras mentes a una pradera de fertilidad inusitada. Obviamente, es muy dificil que entiendas lo que quiero decir si nunca viste un número del Santo. (más abajo hay ejemplos) Era (es) sobre cosas terribles y cosas hermosas todas juntas desnudas, parece pretencioso pero era más humilde que la paleta con queso de máquina. EL SANTO me dijo que era fácil hacer historietas que valieran. porque no necesitaba dibujar con todos los chiches, lo importante es que tuvieran algo atrás, dándoles vidita. Entonces dije che, mirá todos estos pibes en internet haciendo comics increíbles. Hagamos uno acá. Le dije a la marmota. Che, mati, hagamos un webcomic. Que así sea, dijo el espíritu del pasto. Pero ¿qué nombre le ponemos? Bueno, con la marmota y su hermano ninja teníamos una banda de mentiras verdaderas que se llamaba Mixolydian. Hacíamos temas a rolete. Y les poníamos nombres ridículos y ridículamente heroicos. Uno se llamaba “¿Tenés mantrul?” era el tema 14 del disco doble Born to be Wilde, Y era así: para rara rara parara rara tu tu tututu tut tututu tututu tututtut uttutututut tututut para pum tututii tururur tururur pam. Es un gran tema. Y así fue. Si apretás en la barra de la izquierda el link de tenés mantrul? te lleva a un flash que tiene la canción. GUACHI. Después de armado el sitio, gracias a la novedosa habilidad webmasteril de la marmota y el Sr. Chuletas pusimos la página de mantrul que al día de hoy sigue prácticamente igual. No sé si eso es bueno o malo, voy a optar por bueno, porque razones. Los años pasaron. Un fluir ponderoso de historietas pelotudas y pelotudamente magníficas, un caudal con sedimentos de sociedades olvidadas, la insoportable levedad del yogur ser, una bomba buena que en vez de matar te embaraza, todos los ritos de todas las tribus erróneamente adaptados por colonos obtusos, mil historietas de carne y hueso: líneas oscuras sobre superficie clara en configuraciones variables vistas a través de una pantalla eléctrica por seres contextualmente culturales aún en pañales para la galaxia. Obras que se perderán, en la futuridad inevitable, pero hermanas de todo lo real y por tanto ya parte del gran museo de los universos, donde todo lo que alguna vez fue y será descansa en amplias salas bien iluminadas bajo paneles de vidrio inteligente donde es visitado por los dioses y sus familias, llorando y riendo por igual, tomando nectar con una pajita que ni siquiera es una pajita sino que es otro dios más. Aplaudamos a los organismos que nos hacen, a los que nos hicieron y a los muertos infinitos de todas las eras, gracias a ellos estamos aquí, mantruleando. Nota: Lo que sigue es el comic #1000. como soy un pajero, es básicamente una recopilación de muchos lados B que me quedaron colgados, pero a la vez es una semihistoria gráfica de mantrul. Hay cosas de colaboradores prehistóricos y no tanto, imágenes retocadas y no tanto, y basura que encontré en internet (y no tanto?).
